Naomi and Adam got married at Leeds Castle, which is the most romantic place to hold your wedding celebrations in Kent with an incredible selection of historic wedding venues for your special day. It was a beautiful day and the sun even made an appearance!
I love this venue because it's so enriched with history, gorgeous architecture and stunning views. Weddings at Leeds Castle are amazing because the grounds are absolutely amazing.
Tell me how you both met?
Adam and I were set up by friends. After a couple of weeks and copious amounts of texts and phone calls into the early hours. We arranged a double date with the friends that set us up. After that evening we went on a second date alone, another lovely meal followed by a spontaneous game of bowling. We’ve been inseparable since. Tell me about the proposal? It was 23rd December 2016 Adam picked me up from work and said he had an early Christmas present for me. I get all embarrassed opening gifts in front of people. Adam reversed the car into the car parking space and handed me a Chanel gift bag, thinking it was a bronzer I use all excitedly. I put my hand in the bag, the item inside was smaller and softer than the bronzer I was expecting. I pulled the little velvet pouch out, they're tied to the front in tartan ribbon was a ring. Me being me I said “ that’s a pretty ring” as I continued to open the velvet pouch. I untied the ring and Adam said to me “ That’s a will you marry me ring” I hugged Adam and he said, “ is that a yes” I said, “of course it’s a yes” I then continued to tell him about my day, I didn’t know what to do. I was filled with so much excitement and happiness. The man I loved more than anything had just asked me to marry him. I felt like and still do feel like the luckiest girl in the world.
How did you know that he/she was THE ONE? (your take)
I know it’s so cliché but my mum used to always say “ when you know you know” I always used to think it was some way to make me feel better. But when I met Adam those wise words she used to say to me were so true! I have never felt the way I do about Adam, I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. I honestly never thought I’d get my happily ever after. I have that now with Adam. All my wishes came true. “ When you know, you really do know”
How did you know that he/she was THE ONE? (their take)
I just knew Naomi was the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with.
What made you choose your venue?
Our favourite thing about Leeds Castle was the happy feeling we both get when we visit. We wanted somewhere that was special to us and that we would be able to visit year after year. Every time we visit the grounds and the castle, no matter what’s going on in the world, I (Naomi) just feel so calm and happy. I felt this way before we even got married there. Why not combine our big day with a place that is so special, a place that every time you visit it never fails to make you feel so happy? Leeds Castle was the perfect way to celebrate our own little fairytale, and make that happy feeling even more special when we visit. ( sounds so soppy I know ) Was there a special moment of the day that stood out to you? I have several moments that have stayed with me since our big day. The first time my dad saw me in my dress with tears in his eyes telling me how beautiful I looked. My Uncle Shane’s proud face as he walked me down the aisle. My bridesmaid helped me go to the ladies holding my dress smiling at me telling me that “ I can do this for her one day” But most of all walking down the aisle to Adam and thinking “ wow I’m going to marry that gorgeous man” Oh and having a laugh as Adam forgot his name whilst doing our vows. For Adam. Seeing Naomi walking down the aisle in her dress, thinking how beautiful she looked but also in a dress that I wasn’t expecting. I was expecting a white straight-down one. Whatever dress she was in, she still would have looked beautiful. I want to thank you Tommy for being a part of our day. For capturing the true us and our day perfectly. But also for becoming a lifelong friend.

Leeds Castle even offers great accommodation and is one of the best places to get married in Kent. The venue offers seriously good food – and there are loads of amazing places that are perfect for photos.

Naomi wore a Jodi Bridal Dress Designed by Stella York and Adam wore a beautiful grey suit also from Jodi Bridal and they looked really gorgeous. Naomi's dress definitely had that wow factor and her makeup and hair were stunning. As a stylist herself, you know Naomi's hairstylist on the day was going to be amazing! (link below).
The couple got in touch with me a couple of years before their date from a recommendation, and their inquiry was so fun. They said they wanted a photographer who would be like a guest, and I loved that they just really wanted me there. By the time we got to the wedding day, we already had a couple of meetups, phone calls and even an engagement session; so comes the wedding day it didn't feel like I was a stranger on the day.
Advice for planning your wedding at Leeds Castle
If you are looking for a beautiful historic venue for your wedding day, look no further than Leeds Castle. During the couple portraits, the staff were good enough to let the bride, groom, and myself jump on a golf buggy to quickly move to different points around the grounds to get the very best photos!
Where do I start?! WOW! There are no words big enough or meaningful enough to thank Tommy for capturing our magical day. From the moment we met Tommy just a little over 2 years ago, we knew that we wanted him to be part of our wedding day. His modern take & diversity on photography is just amazing!! In the time We’ve known him I feel like I’ve made a friend for life. Nothing was ever an issue, I’d ask his opinion on certain photo styles and he was honest and gave his spin on the idea. I'd bombard him with Instagram posts & tags of different ideas for photos for our big day. I was just so excited for our wedding day but also for the amazing photos I knew Tommy would deliver. We wanted to have photos that were a bit different from the norm’ but still capture us as a couple and the romance around our big day. He made us feel at ease and like it was just natural for him to be around. The engagement shoot definitely helped as Adam isn’t the keenest on having his photo taken. But from day one Tommy has treated us like we’ve known him forever and that is another thing about him that makes having him part of your day even more special. You’re not just a client. I honestly can’t thank him enough for the help and support throughout this whole process. I’m actually quite sad that it’s all over and will miss my little weekly posts to him. ( I don’t think he will miss them ) We went for the Silver package with 2 photographers, so we had photos of Adam getting ready too. All-day you wouldn’t have known that Tommy and Sophie were there! They were in stealth mode. The only time we saw them was when they asked to get certain shots. Sophie was lovely too, they make a great team. Thank you again, I can't wait to make our album. I can’t recommend Tommy enough. I feel sure my over-gushing story has proved how lovely he is!
