Tayla and Nick got married at Nettlestead Place, which is a stunning medieval Manor House in Maidstone with 10 acres of beautiful award-winning gardens. It was such a happy day and the sun shone all day long!

Getting hitched

The ceremony was a beautiful service outdoors amongst the rose garden during the summer. You also have the option to have your ceremony in the stunning 13th Century Undercroft. During the ceremony, their daughter, Nina, insisted on being held by Nick and cried whenever she was put down. It was funny to see.

They decorated the area with their choice of flowers, which I loved. The reception was in a marquee at Nettlestead Place – I love this venue because the light is gorgeous for portraits and candids. Weddings at Nettlestead Place are amazing because the grounds are some of the best gardens in Kent.

Nettlestead Place is perfect for anyone who loves the outdoors and is one of the nicest places to get married in Maidstone. The venue offers space for a marquee – and their panoramic views of the river overlooking the house become perfect for photos.

The couple

Tayla’s dress was from Wed2B designed by Heidi Hudson and Nick wore a navy suit from Moss Bros and they looked really amazing.

The couple got in touch with me years ago, and their inquiry was fun because I used to work for Nick's sister when I used to work at a camera retail store called Jessops. Small world! They said they wanted a fun photographer, and I loved that they genuinely cared about the photography and really wanted me to be there. I love working with couples who are relaxed, fun and will cherish their images in years to come. I love having the responsibility of providing images for couples and products like fine art albums that will be passed down to their children and their children. It's a beautiful feeling.

Getting married at Nettlestead is perfect any time of the year, especially in the summer for its beautiful gardens. On arriving in the courtyard, the venue offers a stunning stone archway, past the door of the manor’s Undercroft. This makes for a grand entrance for the bride's car...or the groom's Porsche in this case ;).
